Police seize over 1700 illegal pot plants in raids in Burien and Seattle

The Seattle Police Department seized 1,751 marijuana plants with an estimated value of more than $1.7 million dollars, along with 247 pounds of processed marijuana worth nearly $500,000, after serving warrants at illegal grow houses in Burien and Seattle on Wednesday morning, Feb. 7.

SPD narcotics detectives arrested four people in connection with the grow operations, which are believed to be linked.

Detectives do not currently believe any of the houses are tied to Washington’s legal marijuana growing industry.

Detectives continue to process the evidence related to the case and will book the four suspects into the King County Jail for charges related to drug manufacturing.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
