Burien Arts Commissioner reading Poetry at Humble Vine this Friday, Jan. 19

All are invited to Burien Arts Commissioner Gaylloyd Sisson’s first Poetry Gig at the Humble Vine Wine & Gift Shoppe this Friday, Jan. 19, from 6-7 p.m.

Gaylloyd will read the first two chapters of his coming book, ‘Down the Road a Piece,’ along with other writers and poets reading their works – this will serve as Humble Vine’s first-ever Open Mic Night:

Come and have a seat while you enjoy oral works from local poets and lyrical savants. Maybe summon your inner bard and get on the microphone to release your thoughts on the world, tales of triumph, woes, or the beast that stirs within.

All respectful styles and flow are appreciated, So come check out the hip scene of poetry and short stories, and jump in yourself! Participation not required, But an open mind and ears are!

(snap snap snap)

This will be a free monthly event @ Humble VIne. The 3’d Friday of Every Month!!!! A wine tasting, non alcoholic beverages, and items from the artists will be available for purchase.

Washington State’s poet laureate – Claudia Castro Luna – has also been invited.
