Community Police Academy starts March 14; here’s how to sign up

Together with Burien and SeaTac Police Services, the Community Police Academy program was designed to increase the understanding between citizens and their Police Departments through public education.

This is an unforgettable experience and it’s completely free for anyone who lives or works in the cities of Burien and SeaTac.

The Community Police Academy is a 13-week session that is conducted on Wednesday nights beginning March 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Fill out an application and send it to:

Attn: Community Police Academy Staff
14905 6th Ave. SW
Burien, WA 98166

The next Community Police Academy training will begin March 14, 2018 at:

SeaTac City Hall
4800 S 188th Street
SeaTac, Washington

The training will run through May 30, 2018.

For more information, please call (206) 477-2251.

Graduates of the Community Police Academy come away with a much better understanding of the criminal justice system and an appreciation for the many challenges facing Law Enforcement in today’s society.

This understanding will help citizens better assist officers. It will also increase the safety in their neighborhoods and community.
