Burien Police conducting surveillance of frequent package theft areas

On Thursday (Dec. 21), the Burien Police Department announced that it is proactively responding to several package thefts in the area:

Detectives and Officers are Conducting Surveillance of frequent package theft areas in hopes of catching these thieves.

Yesterday morning (Wed., Dec. 20), undercover detectives conducted surveillance in several of the Burien neighborhoods. Detectives worked hand in hand with the US Postal service in the area and deployed strategies to help keep our packages safe!

Just a reminder that “Porch Pirates” are out there waiting to take off with your holiday gifts. Please have deliveries delayed until someone is home, delivered to a work address or utilize drop boxes similar to Amazon lockers. There are Amazon lockers located at Safeway (SW 148th Street and 1st Ave S).

As always, if you see something suspicious or out of place, call 911.
