On Thursday (Sept. 8, 2016), the Highline High Lady Pirates Beat the Eatonville Cruisers 4-0.
It was the first game of the season and the Pirates were strong on the field. They scored two in the first half and two in the second half. There are five seniors on the team this year. The four players injured last week in the accident are still sitting on the sidelines, but have big smiles in support of their team’s effort.
The biggest problem for the Pirates right now is stopping all the offsides calls they had during the second half of the game. “Offsides” is when a Pirate does not have at least one player from the other team between them and the goal when the ball is kicked to them.

The next game is against Tyee at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at Highline Memorial Field.
