Car Seat Checks

Mosman residents can apply for a free professional installation or inspection of their child car restraints by an authorised restraint fitter at their home.

A limited number of vouchers are available for the service, which aims to improve the safety of children travelling in cars by ensuring child seats, harnesses and booster seats are fitted correctly.

The voucher covers the fitting of up to three seats per household at the residential address after a personal appointment is made with the fitter.

To learn more about Council’s local road safety initiatives or apply for a car seat inspection and fitting voucher visit the WEBSITE and fill in an application form.

Free baby car set checks and fittings are available for Mosman residents.

Soft Plastics Recycling

Mosman residents can again recycle soft plastics through the RecycleSmart program which recently resumed soft plastics collection after being paused since November last year following the collapse of previous recycling options.

RecycleSmart has partnered with innovative Australian recycling company APR Plastics to recycle the waste into food grade plastic packaging again, creating a circular waste solution.Visit the WEBSITE to book a Power Pickup for soft plastics, along with other tricky-to-recycle products such as unwanted clothes and coffee capsules, all collected from your doorstep.

Meanwhile, unwanted e-waste can be disposed of at Council’s upcoming free biannual e-waste collection at the Civic Centre carpark, The Crescent, Mosman, on Sunday 5 March between 9am and 4pm.
