Superstitious Beliefs in Nigeria....Does it really have any effect??

There are some beliefs that are beyond the normal human belief (e.g sleeping and waking up - the belief there is that, you were able to wake up only by God's Grace).

Its only God that knows the origin and application of all these beliefs that some of us refer to as "Superstition". I'm sure that in most of the countries in Africa, they have their various superstitions...but i don't think it can beat that of Nigeria cos they are too numerous to mention and most of them yield NEGATIVE result not POSITIVE.....

The ones i could remember are:

1. When its Raining and the Sun is Shining - In Nigeria, it means a Lionness is giving birth.

2. If Someone crosses your legs - In Nigeria, it means Badluck.

3. Flogging a Female with a Broom - In Nigeria, it means that she would be Barren or she would not marry at an early age (i.e Marrying at an old age e.g 50 or 60 years of age!)

Hmmmm......Nawa oh! Dem plenty oh! But its remaining one more that i can remember,

4. Sleeping and keeping your legs on the wall - It means He/She is a Demonic Person!

Whats your view about all these?? ...Right or Wrong or Natural??....Let Us Know!

Cos i'm still confused....Your Comment matters alot!
