The badgesimilar to Facebook and Twitter for Verified Business Account has also been added in the latest version of WhatsApp application. This feature will allow you communicate with the businesses that matters to you.



If you see a green badgenext to a contact's name, it means that WhatsApp has confirmed that the number belongs to a business and hence, verified it.

If you have already saved a business's phone number name in your address book, that's the name you will see but if you haven't saved the business name in your address book, you will see the name the business has chosen for themselves.



WhatsApp will also let you know when you start talking to a business via yellow messages inside a chat. There is no way to delete these messages from the chat.

However, WhatsApp business verification is currently available to a small limited number of businesses participating in pilot program.
