Defying the growing inequality in society!

One of the major problem of India is Inequality. It is a major obstacle on the way of development. It is prevailing everywhere irrespective of Caste and creed. We all heard a popular term in Economics “The Rich Become Richer and poor become poorer” which was a characteristics of capitalism. But our country opted for Mixed economy.

We all are victims of inequality, victims in the sense that if we were equal then our condition might have been much better. Let’s not talk about middle class, if I start describing lower class or the unprivileged section it might be impossible to come in a conclusion. They were living in worst situation just because of the inequality prevailing in the country. The have the right to equality but the never get.

Inequality is an Epidemic, it’s everywhere.

There are various types of inequality exists in our Society. Economic Inequality, social inequality, cultural Inequality, Gender Inequality etc. Inequality is in distribution of wealth, inequality is in distribution of income, inequality is in living standard of the people and so on…

The problem is now the Growing Inequality, it’s growing at an alarming rate. Which is not healthy for a civil society. We all wish for a society where everyone gets an equal right to live their lives. We all wishing for good days, but still living in Inequality. In India only a few industrialist carrying majority of the resources, and millions of people living in hunger and starvation.  There are Farmers who are farming on landlord’s  land and landlord’s who has acres of land but has no mercy towards the farmers.  There’s capitalist who has billions of rupees debt and the government mercifully waives their loan, but the government thinks twice and thrice before waiving loans of the farmers, who are suiciding due to the burden of their debts.

There people who have houses in every major cities in the world and there are some who are homeless. If you go for a walk at early morning you’ll see many people sleeping on footpath, irrespective of the seasons be it monsoon or winter. Those people are very adaptive. Do we think about them? who’s responsible for their such condition? The whole society is Injustice to them. They are also humans and thus have human rights. But, nobody seems fighting for their human rights. Actually we are busy in fighting for animal rights.
