Jose Mourinho is growing increasingly frustrated at Manchester United and could be set to leave the club, according to reports.

The Red Devils have impressed under Mourinho’s stewardship this season and are sitting second in the Premier League, behind Manchester City, with an unbeaten record. However, The Daily Record suggest all is not well behind the scenes at Old Trafford, with the Portuguese unhappy under the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

It’s claimed Mourinho has lost faith in Woodward’s funding and handling of the club which could lead to him rejecting any offer of a new contract.

There have been no negotiations over extending Mourinho’s three-year deal at Old Trafford and the ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea boss has even hinted at a move to Paris. He told Telefoot: ‘The only thing I can say is that I am still a coach with worries, ambitions, desires to do new things. I’m sure I will not finish my career here [with Manchester United].

‘My son who lives in London went to Paris to see a Paris Saint-Germain match and he did not go to Manchester. ‘Why Paris? Because there’s something special. ‘Magic, quality, youth, it’s fantastic.’
