ICMYI, Monday marked the first total Solar Eclipse in the United States in 99 years.

Freedom told ABC News: ‘I think it was just meant to be, her name. We’re probably going to call her Clipsey.’

As the baby’s due date had been projected for September 3, the couple had chosen the name Violet for their child.

But after Eclipse showed up early, Freedom said: ‘I kind of felt like it was meant to happen, to have her on this day.’

Eclipse was one of a handful of ‘special’ babies born at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina to get a cute commemorative babygrow to mark the occasion.

She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and 19 inches long.
