A bride died when her car “crumpled like a tin” in a head-on crash on the way to her wedding.

Guzel Zakirova, 23, was killed when an overtaking car rammed her car off the road as she travelled to meet her groom Ilnar Shafikov, 26.

The bride was pronounced dead at the crash site. Witnesses said the vehicle had “crumpled like a tin” in the horror smash, Mirror Reports 

A female passenger travelling with her suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The 31-year-old man who overtook their car was also rushed to hospital, along with his female passenger.

Heartbroken relatives were given the news as they waited for Guzel at the registry office.

Local media reports that on the day of her funeral, her heartbroken husband-to-be was the last to leave the cemetery.

His mother Alfiya Shafikova, 57, said: “They had such a bright, strong love.

“He was madly in love with her.

“He would call her after waking up in the morning, and in the evening when he was back home from work.

“He had her photos on his phone, on his computer.

“I don’t know how will he live now.”

A friend said: “She was so bright and happy. How could this happen on what should have been her best day.”

“This was supposed to be your happiest day, and now you’re dead”, said a message posted by a relative.
