The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal has started the Application process for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and Integrated Phd. In Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for the commencing academic session.

All those who get selected will be eligible to receive Rs. 25,000 or as per existing funding agency norms.

Eligibility criteria:

For Ph.D:

Those who are interested in applying for this programme must have completed their M.Sc/ M.Tech degree in the Relevant Discipline with at least 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10 Point Scale.

Those who are exceptionally brilliant who have passed their B.Tech/MBBS/MCA are also eligible to apply (For Biological Sciences only).

Those who have done B.Tech I Chemical and Environmental engineering can also apply (for Earth and Environmental Sciences only).

They must also possess a valid GATE / UGC/CSIR,JEST/ICMR (JRF category I) DBT (JRF A category)/ NBHM/JGEEBILS or any other recognised score.

For Integrated Ph.D

Those interested in applying to this programme must have completes their Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10 point scale.

Those who are appearing in their final year examination of the Bachelor’s degree this year can also apply.

Selection Procedure:

Ph.D: There would be two interview rounds (round 1 and 2) for selecting the candidates.

Integrated Ph.D: There would be an entrance examination to be conducted at IISER Bhopal

The candidates are required to apply at the official website.

Application form will be available online from March 24, 2016 onwards.

Last date of submission of online application form is April 12, 2016.
