Vellore Institute of Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) has opened registrations and the last date for receiving applications is February 29. It is to be noted that Viteee is a national level engineering entrance examination, conducted by the VIT University for Admissions to various B.Tech programmes offered by it. Those interested can apply for the exam by visiting the official website.
The exam will be conducted between April 6 -17 at various locations across the country.
This year English has been added as a new section in the syllabus.
Those aspiring to appear for the entrance examination should have secured an aggregate of 60 per cent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying Examination (+2/ Intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects , Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology(PCM/PCB) in Class 12( or its equivalent) put together should be 50 per cent for those belonging to SC/ST and North-Eastern States category. Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education can also apply.
VITEEE is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and English.
The exam will be conducted in three sessions i.e. Session I, Session II and Session Iii. The timings for each session are:
Session I: 9 am to 11:30 am
Session II: 12:30 pm to 3 pm
Session III: 4 pm to 6:30 pm
The tentative results will be declared on April 29 on its official website.
