NEET 2017 Notification: Exams will be held in regional languages

Recently a Notification has been released regarding the NEET examination 2017. As per the notification, NEET 2017 exam is scheduled to be held in the month of May. Application for the same will be out in the third week of December.

Along with this, it is also mentioned in the notification that candidates who all are appearing for post graduate and under graduate the examination can give their paper in regional languages. The government has allowed to give the paper in eight languages such as Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

After releasing this notification, Union Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel relied in written on December 9th that Section 10 D of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 prescribes conducting a uniform entrance exam in Hindi and English and other languages.  She also stated that the government can also decide on the quota seats at post graduate or under graduate programme.

All you need to know about NEET PG:

It is an eligibility cum entrance examination for various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. This is the only entrance exam for PG Courses at all level such as state or institution level as per the Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f from 2017 admission session.
