The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established “with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of National.
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) wishes to draw the attention of all Corps Producing Institutions and prospective Corps members to the 2014 Batch ‘C’ mobilization time-table as follows:

1 Forwarding of preliminary lists including call-up numbers to all Corps producing Institutions via electronic mail. – 10th – 13th October, 2014
2 Production of hard copies of preliminary print-outs. – 16th – 17th October, 2014
3 Delivery of hard copies of preliminary print-outs to all corps producing institutions. – 20th – 21st October, 2014
4 Notification of those who paid for online registration about printing of call-up letters. – 28th October, 2014
5 Physical collection of call-up letters in the schools by those who did not pay for online registration. – 29th October – 4th November, 2014
6 Online printing of call-up letters by those who paid for online registration. – 29th October – 4th November, 2014
7 2014 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course. – 4th – 25th November, 2014
Prospective Corps members are to note that collection of call-up letters is free for those who choose to pick up the letters in their schools.
Corps members in this category are not to make payment for collection of their call-up letters.
