Microsoft, the computing giant recently announced several job opportunities in Africa. JobsNigeriaPlus notes that the job postings are for the organization’s operations in Ivory Coast, South Africa and Nigeria. It is assumed that the openings are to improve its impact in Africa, which is becoming a fast growing emerging technology market.

This may be significant in view of Microsoft’s recent launch of its latest operating system, Windows 8. According to reports from Microsoft, “Windows 8 provides a personalized experience with a beautiful new user interface that puts the user at the center. It equips people with improved entertainment experience and the ability to create content all on the same device, either with touch or with a mouse and keyboard”.
JobsNigeriaPlus observes that the jobs appear to be business related jobs geared towards the improvement of Microsoft's performance in Africa.

Here are the announced job opportunities:

Business Planning Manager based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The role will provide increased transparency and integration across all groups and creating leverage for the Business Marketing Organisation by supporting the planning, measurement and review of business operations.

Anti-Piracy Conversion Manager based in Lagos, Nigeria .
The role will lead a team dedicated to driving up revenue through long term, sustained piracy reductions while maintaining market share and a positive customer experience.

Small Medium Businesses and Distribution (SMB&D) Lead based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The role is responsible for driving non-managed partner revenue through assigned distributors and is the primary relationship owner of the assigned distributors, both for day-to-day business as well as executive engagement.
