Callebaut Chocolate Selected for World’s First 3D-Printing Restaurant

Food Ink, the world’s first 3D-printing Restaurant, has selected Callebaut’s 811 Dark Belgium Chocolate to round off its dinner menu during its international tour.

The pop-up restaurant, in collaboration with byFlow – inventors of the world’s first portable multi-material 3D-printer – opened its doors earlier this week, printing everything from the chairs and crockery to the cutlery and food.

For the dessert course, Food Ink partnered with Callebaut to guarantee quality consistency. Head chef Chef Castanye, who runs one of Spain’s most acclaimed new restaurants, La Boscane, explained: ‘Using Callebaut’s chocolate for our desserts was crucial to us and is an absolute dream to work with.’

Pascale Meulemeester, Vice President of Global Gourmet at Callebaut, added: ‘It’s a great honour for us to be part of this event and to participate in such an innovative project.
