Case Summary:

In April, North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) received the good news that the EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case in which we presented on behalf of a Chinese research associate had been approved. Before we were retained, we carefully assessed her credentials to determine what information would go into the EB1A petition packet. Once we confirmed that we could build a strong case for our client, we countersigned the retainer agreement and started crafting the petition. The process was lengthy and exacted attention to detail but we were able to highlight our client’s meritorious performance in the Field of plant genetics.

Our client has been hailed as a “top researcher” and her work is credited with “advance[ing] the state of knowledge in the plant biology field, but also the economic interests of the country”. Her tireless research has led to a better understanding of plant growth and, specifically, to new and improved techniques for the cultivation of rice and maize. Her findings have been published in 9 peer-reviewed scientific articles, and their significance to other researchers was proven through the number of times they have been cited—449. Our client’s contribution to the field of plant genetics also extends to regularly reviewing the work of her peers for esteemed journals. At the time of filing, she had already performed 10 peer reviews, the details of which were incorporated in the petition.

We are elated that our diligent efforts paved the way for EB-1A approval. Thanks to Premium Processing (PP), approval was obtained just 12 days after we filed the petition. Our client will now file the I-485 application on her own with the help of our D.I.Y. Packet; if approved, it will cement her status as a US permanent resident. We wish her the best with this and thank her for choosing us to represent her EB1A case.
