Foodies’ Favorite DC Neighborhoods

DC is full of a number of top restaurants, tucked away inside of some of its most desirable neighborhoods. From Ethiopian food to French flair, foodies are sure to enjoy some of these DC hot spots: Adams Morgan On nearly every top neighborhood list, lively Adams Morgan is well known for its bars, clubs and nightlife. The neighborhood is also home to a number of great restaurants. Options include a vegan-friendly BBQ restaurant, Mediterranean food, a ramen bar, and French-inspired selections. Logan Circle Logan Circle is another top neighborhood for foodies. This DC neighborhood often draws in a younger crowd with its spirited music venues and nightlife. Dining options here include Spanish tapas or eating inside a sidewalk Trans-Siberian train car. NoMa The creative NoMa neighborhood is home to museums, indie theaters and an eclectic mix of restaurants. La Cosecha is a Latin American marketplace that’s located in NoMa. Union Market is a great place to try out a range of flavors in one convenient location. Dupont Circle The Dupont Circle neighborhood also offers a number of diverse dining options. While you’ll find several fast-casual restaurants, you’ll also find places serving up small plates and wine, an oyster bar and Greek-inspired cuisine. H Street Corridor For independent boutique stores and coffee shops, be sure to visit the H Street Corridor. Home to such popular venues as The Atlas Performing Arts Center, the H Street Corridor also boasts weekly farmers’ markets, making it a good place for foodies to stock up on locally grown produce and other ingredients. The H Street Festival is an annual event that brings in food vendors and live music. U Street Corridor The U Street Corridor is another hot spot for foodies. While you’re there, don’t miss out on the chance to try Ben’s Chili Bowl, which is one of the neighborhood’s oldest restaurants. You’ll also find a number of Ethiopian selections in this part of DC.
