Wow, 2018 is upon us, which means it is time to celebrate the achievements of 2017! It’s been an amazing year at G2 Crowd as the world continues to embrace transparency in the buying process. The G2 Crowd community is growing faster than ever. This year our users wrote 2.2 times as many reviews as they did in 2016. As a thank you to our fast-growing user community, we’re excited to take all of the data from the last 12 months, and use it to build our annual Best Software Companies 2018 lists.

Is there software that you use in your business that you absolutely love and couldn’t live without? Or maybe you work at a software company that has an incredibly passionate and loyal customer base? Either way, there is still time for you to help the software companies you use and love to be named a Best Software Company 2018, based on real customer reviews.

Today, G2 Crowd is excited to share the 2018 awards criteria to help businesses and buyers better understand what it takes to be considered for this prestigious annual award. This recognition will provide a unique look at the world’s 100 best software companies (ranked 1-100), as well as the 50 best enterprise, mid-market and small software businesses, based on the most important metric; the voice of customers. The 2018 awards will provide important insights into which companies have most consistently been succeeding for their customers, using our verified user data collected during the last year.

How Do I Get My Company on the List?

Unlike other company awards, there is no self-nomination process and no costs involved. Winners are determined based on feedback provided by those who really know a software company best – their customers. If users don’t share at least 100 product reviews on G2 Crowd between January 7, 2017 and January 7, 2018, then the software company will not be considered. Companies are scored based on an algorithm using many of the same factors included in our Grid®  satisfaction and market presence score algorithms, but weighted differently to reflect vendors’ success over the past year.

There is still time for one last push before the January 7th deadline. Reach out to your customers and ask them to share a review! And who knows, your next review might be the key to a top 10 finish!
