As much as agents Love to work, they have to admit, it’d be pretty awesome to take a break every once in a while. No matter how much you love your job, getting away from it can have some huge benefits. Recent studies have shown companies that offer unlimited Vacation policies still have trouble getting their employees to take it. Agents know this reality all too well, They have been living it for years before other companies started hopping on the bandwagon. Stop wasting your unlimited vacation days! It’s time you considered all the advantages of getting away from it all for a bit.

Here’s how taking a vacation can help you sell more homes:

You Will Be More Productive

It may sound totally counter active, but it’s true. The Creative Group recently did a study that revealed 40% of marketing and advertising executives believed that productivity would increase if employees took more vacations. In another famous study, researchers pitted executives from 20 different countries with vacation time ranging from 10 to 41 days of off. The study found European executives, who average about 30 days off a year (6 weeks), worked faster and focused longer than their counterparts in other countries that took only 4 to 10 days off per year.

You Will Gain Mental Well Being

Taking time to relax can really do wonders for your mental health. We live in a connected world, emails straight to our cell phones, messenger apps that are constantly signed in, updating our every move. It quickly starts to demand the precious real estate in our minds. Taking a vacation forces you to step away from the stress, gives you time to reflect on how you handled it in the past, and how you can improve in the future.

You Will Have Better Story To Tell

At the end of the day you aren’t going to remember the biggest closing of 2009, you are going to remember the day you got married, the birth of your children, and the amazing smell of Sunday breakfast at that place in the mountains (or beach). Life is enjoyed when it is shared with loved ones outside of work. So go enjoy life, make new stories. Plus, your clients work with you because of your personality and your expertise. Have a good story to tell.

If you aren’t inspired to take a day off after this post, you may need a vacation. Don’t pass up these benefits, you definitely don’t want to put your mental or physical health at risk.
