Got an itch to travel? Then this Airline might have a job opportunity you can’t pass by. Wow Air, an Icelandic low-cost long-haul airline that’s only been flying for seven years is offering two lucky candidates the opportunity to move to Iceland and travel the world for three months this summer – fully paid.
Your job will be to travel to Wow Air’s 38 destinations and create a digital travel guide for the airline, all expenses paid. If this sounds like the perfect job for you and your best friend, then all you have to do is submit a two-minute video travel guide of your hometown.
The application window opened yesterday and you have until 14th May to submit your video. The lucky pair of Travel Guide’s will be announced on 18th May with the adventure beginning on 1st June 2018.
From creating vlogs to sharing Instagram posts and writing digital content, you and your best friend could be exploring big cities, beautiful beaches and stunning scenery along the way. You’ll be based in Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik for the summer as you complete your mission.
But don’t be expecting luxury travel. Wow Air operates a fleet of mainly Airbus A320 family aircraft with most seats offering just 17-inches of width. And while Economy class has just 31-inches of pitch, Wow Air does at least have what it calls XL and XXL options – offering between 32 to 35 inches of pitch respectively.
From its hub at Keflavik International Airport, the airline has expanded rapidly into the United States with destinations including San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Boston. In Europe, the airline serves Copenhagen, Gran Canaria and Barcelona amongst others.
The airline was founded by Skúli Mogensen, a maverick Icelandic entrepreneur who still owns Wow Air outright. While it might not be as well known as competitor Norwegian, the airline is still giving legacy airlines in Europe and the United States plenty of headaches.
So what are you waiting for? Visit the Wow Air Travel Guide microsite now to submit your application!
