Back in March 2015, the City of Toronto launched its GreenP Mobile Parking app, when Mayor John Tory became the first Torontonian to use the app. With it, motorists could pay for parking using their smartphones at select GreenP locations, including lots in Liberty Village. Signs in the parking lots are posted with the lot’s location ID. The user keys in the location ID and their license plate number to complete the transaction. The app is currently available for free download from the iTunes Store and Google Play.

Easy And Convenient

With the GreenP mobile pay program, there’s no need to search for change or to dash out of a meeting to feed the meter. The app allows you to pay for your parking in Liberty Village, track the amount of time remaining and extend your parking right from your phone.

You can load more funds to the app from your phone or your desktop.

A New And Innovative Program Now Being Tested In Liberty Village

In association with the Liberty Village BIA, GreenP Mobile Pay has launched a pilot program to add value to the purchase of parking through a mobile device. Upon completion of their purchase, customers who have opted in will be texted special coupons and offers from nearby participating merchants and businesses in Liberty Village. To redeem the offer, patrons simply show the coupon on their phone.

The program is seen as a win-win in that it delivers timely and appropriate deals to consumers as they arrive in Liberty Village, and it helps retail establishments by encouraging those consumers to stay longer and visit their establishments.

Participating Businesses

Some of the businesses participating in the program from whom you might receive a coupon include Athlete’s Kitchen, Home Hardware, Kitchen Stuff Plus, For The Love Of Cake, Hero Certified Burger, Oats And Ivy, Global Pet Foods, The Roastery, Toronto FC, Metro, Shoeless Joes, Panago Pizza, William’s Landing, Suzanne Gardner, V.O.C., Vibrant Lifestyle and Smooth Wax Bar. The two GreenP Liberty Village lots currently involved in the program are the Hanna Street location (ID # 224) and the Lamport Stadium South location (ID # 181).

This is just another example of how Liberty Village continues to lead the way in innovation, retail, and consumer engagement. So, the next time you use a Liberty Village GreenP lot, you’ll be able to park, pay and save.
