Watch These Long Term Electric Rates in Dallas

Should month deals are still a month off. But, if you can wait to switch, stake out these long term electric plans and be ready to pounce before Dallas electricity rates rise!

Compare Texas Electric Rates

While the fall shoulder season’s low rates won’t be here until October, you can start looking for a new provider now. Since there’s a lot of uncertainty in the Energy market right now, the key is to watch provider plans for rates that don’t change much. That way, you can wait for the prices to dip a little in the next month. But watch which plans? Not to worry. We’ve staked out these long-term electric plans in Dallas for their cheap but stable rates so you can switch when you’re ready.

What Are the Cheapest 24-Month Electricity Rates?

Price Protect 24 from Spark Energy has a very low energy charge of 6.1 cents per kWh. With the standard TDU charges included, your average rate for electricity comes to 10.6 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of use. As a result, the average estimated electricity bill for this plan rolls out around $111.

Spark Green Secure 24 from Spark Energy is a great long-term electric plan with 100% renewable energy in Dallas. You’ll pay an energy charge of 6.3 cents per kWh. With the standard TDU charges, the average rate comes to 10.8 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of use. The average estimated monthly bill is around $113.

Both of these plans have a minimum usage fee of $8.99 if you don’t use at least 1000 kWh of electricity. And there’s an early termination fee of $100.

Straight Saver 24 from Gexa Energy has a low energy charge of 6.7 cents per kWh. With the TDU charges, the average rate comes to 11.3 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of use. At that rate, the average monthly estimated energy bill is also around $113. There are no minimum usage fees for this 100% renewable electricity plan. Plus, Gexa is a top-rated electricity provider in Texas. Just keep in mind that the early termination fee is much steeper at $295.

Who has the Cheapest 36-Month Electricity Rates?

SureLock 36 from Xoom Energy has an energy charge of 6.77 per kWh. Once you add in the base charge and standard TDU charges, the average rate for electricity comes to 11.8 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of use. With those low rates, the average estimated electricity bill is around $111. However, you need to be aware of the steep $250 early termination fee.

You Got This 36 from First Choice Power has a low energy charge of 6.2 cents per kWh. The $4.95 base charge and the TDU charges bring the average rate to 11.2 cents for 1000 kWh of use. And the average estimated monthly bill is $112. Lastly, the early termination fee is $135, which is incredibly low for a 36-month, long-term plan.

Finally, Texas Fixed 36 from Pulse Power has a low energy charge of 11 cents per kWh. With the $4.95 base charge and the TDU charges, the average electricity rate comes to 11.5 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of use. With those rates, the average estimated monthly bill is $115. One last detail is that the early termination fee is $20 per month remaining in the contract. That’s a much less-painful ETF as long as you don’t decide to leave the plan too soon.

Early Termination Fees on Long Term Electric Plan

Before switching Dallas electricity providers, remember to check for an early termination fee first. If these plans help you save more through bill credits, limited-time offers, and cheaper electricity rates over the long term, it may be worth it to switch before your contract ends.

What Happens at The End of Your Electric Contract?

As great as these plans are, if you don’t sign a new contract or switch to a new plan at the end of the term, you’ll end up with the default renewal product. And these month-to-month energy plans usually carry much higher rates than typical long-term electric plans. So, be sure to set a reminder before your contract ends and take advantage power to choose cheap electricity.
