IoT Tech Expo Europe 2017

IoT Tech Expo, Europe’s largest Internet of Things (IoT) event will return to Berlin for its 2nd annual event on the 1-2nd June, where it will host 4,000 attendees and explore the entire IoT ecosystem. There will be 6 conference tracks, with 200+ industry leading speakers discussing their real-life use-cases of IoT/M2M technology and solutions, attracting C-Level Executives from across the board.

The show will highlight the most innovative advancements in technologies which are affecting IoT, and showcase the most cutting-edge technology with an exhibition of 150+ companies and dedicated start-up zone.

Attendees are expected from across Europe and beyond and include IT decision makers, developers & makers, OEM’s, SMB’s, government and local council officials, automotive exec’s, operators, press, technology providers, investors, venture capitalists and much more. The IoT Tech Expo is also co-located with the Blockchain Expo and AI Expo.

Developing for the IoT

Day One of the Developing for the IoT agenda will explore the evolving technology available to developers looking to create IoT products and software. Reviewing platforms and frameworks for development, hardware and connectivity options and also the tools needed to create products and applications for the IoT.

IoT Innovations & Technologies

The IoT Innovations and Technologies track provides a platform for businesses from start-up level and beyond to showcase the latest innovation across the entire IoT ecosystem that is transforming the way enterprise and business view the Internet of Things. Demonstrable technologies include the latest IoT platforms, gateways, E2E systems, connectivity, security and device management solutions as well as the latest IoT tech from drones to 3D printers.

Connected Industry

The Industrial Internet of Things or Industry 4.0 heralds an era of unlimited potential to change the industrial landscape. Will this become the age of ultimate industrial automation? What efficiencies and new opportunities can be realised as a result? How can the complexities be understood and challenges overcome?

In these sessions, we explore how the IoT and M2M Technologies are impacting existing industry value chains, business models and workforces, and what actions business leaders must take to ensure long-term success and real return on investment.

Smart Transportation & Cities

The morning session of this track will cover the future of smart transportation, from consumer cars through the mass transit systems within our cities and beyond in terms of business opportunities, development and consumer adoption. Topics such as traffic management, environmental concerns and quality of life for consumers are to be covered.

The afternoon session broadens the conversation beyond urban mobility and transport to the entire smart city discussing development, how to identify and implement an ecosystem within a smart city and also the social and societal considerations such as improving sustainability, quality of life and economic performance. Finally, this session will also discuss the emerging use of IoT technology in public spaces such as stadiums and schools.

Data & Security

In these sessions, we review how businesses can manage IoT generated Big Data for intelligent decision making.

This track will delve into both consumer and business concerns over security which have arisen from the increasing connectivity brought about by IoT. With the application of IoT to an infinite number of devices and the acceleration of the market, we will be exploring the new areas of technology which are responding to these perceived threats.

IoT in Enterprise

What efficiencies and new opportunities can be realised as a result? How can the complexities be understood and challenges overcome?

In this session, we take a close look at some of the main sectors of an enterprise who are embracing IoT within their workflows, from tracking of freight and fleets using asset management with case studies from the world’s leading Logistics companies to discussing how IoT can impact Agriculture.

How Oil, Gas and Energy companies are getting involved in the IoT is also being highlights right from oil fields through to facilities management in the latest smart buildings. This track is suited to attendees who wish to hear from high-level speakers about how the world’s biggest and most forward-thinking enterprises are utilising IoT within their businesses.
