Rotary Peace Fellowships 2018/19 for Masters & Professional Development Programs

Are you looking to make a significant impact on the world by promoting tolerance and cooperation? Apply now for one of two Rotary Peace Fellowships. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier academic scholarship of The Rotary Foundation, supporting Rotary’s mission to empower, educate, and increase the capacity of peace builders through rigorous academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities. Through this experience, Rotary Peace Fellows build the skills needed to become leaders and catalysts for peace and conflict resolution both in their communities and around the globe.

The fellowship is intended for individuals who have chosen a career related to international relations, peace, and conflict resolution; who have work experience in these areas; and who have a commitment to community or international humanitarian service and to working for peace. Applicants should consider these objectives carefully before applying.

Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive funds to study at Rotary Peace Centers. Through training, study, and practice, Rotary Peace Fellows become leaders and catalysts for peace and conflict resolution; many go on to careers in national governments, NGOs, the military, law enforcement, and international organizations like the United Nations and World Bank.

Two types of fellowships are offered: a master’s degree program and a professional development certificate program.

Each year, Rotary awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 50 for certificate studies at premier universities around the world.

Master’s degree programs: Last 15 to 24 months and require a practical internship of two to three months during the academic break.

Professional development certificates: For experienced professionals and lasts three months with two to three weeks of field study.
