It does work, and it works well, if you do it right. The core of social media is personal interactions. That means that you need to do more than just post your listings on social media in order to get a return on that marketing investment. You have to actively work on building relationships. Add potential homebuyers and sellers as friends on your social media. Like and comment on their posts. Make sure that you wish them a Happy Birthday when it’s their birthday. Actively engage with the people that like and follow your social media accounts. That is the way to get the most out of social media marketing. Not Using Instagram Instagram is a photo and video based social media platform. That means it’s ideal for real estate agents. Post gorgeous photos from your listings and link the listing in the comments. Use hashtags more often. Did you know that in order to get the most views you should be using at least 20 hashtags on each photo and video? Most people don’t use nearly enough hashtags. Short videos and photos on Instagram are a fantastic way to show off the Edmonton homes that you’re trying to sell. And you never know when a friend of a friend of someone who follows you will be looking for exactly the home that you’ve got listed. Don’t ignore Instagram in favor of Facebook.
