Pecan Grove homes are zoned to both Fort Bend ISD and Lamar Consolidated ISD schools. .
Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) covers a 170-square mile area and serves Sugar Land, Meadows Place, Pecan Grove, Pearland, and some parts of Houston. The TEA gave the FBISD a “Recognized” rating and was named a National School District of Character in 2011 by the National Schools of Character Program.

- Oakland Elementary School at 4455 Waterside Estates Dr. Opened in 2006, Oakland Elementary is FBISD’s 40th elementary school. Home of the Wildcats, the school features a number of student organizations and clubs as well as arts and music programs.
- Austin Elementary School at 1630 Pitts Rd. Stephen F. Austin Elementary is one of the best schools from the LCISD. Austin offers a Balanced Literacy and Accelerated Reader Computer programs. It has been given a Gold Performance Award in 2010 and named a Just For Kids High Performing School by the Texas Business Education Coalition (TBEC).
- Frost Elementary School at 3306 Skinner Ln. Samuel Miles Frost Elementary is home to the Flyers and offers a Gifted and Talented Program.

- James Bowie Middle School at 700 Plantation Dr. Bowie Middle School, located minutes away from Pecan Grove homes, offers great academic programs.
