Oak Hill Houston Maps And Location
The small community of Oak Hill covers an 8-acre area in the Memorial Close-In area. It sits north of Memorial Drive, west of Silber Road, and south of Katy Freeway (I-10). The area is just outside the Inner Loop.
Oak Hill features 18 single-family homes and is made up of two cul-de-sacs. Three homes in the area front Memorial Drive.

Oak Hill Houston Schools
Oak Hill homes are zoned to schools from the highly regarded Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD).

Oak Hill Houston History
Like most areas in close-in Memorial, the land where Oak Hill now sits used to be largely rural. The Memorial area was mostly made up of farms, timber mills, and stables.
During the post-WWII years (1950s and 1960s), Houston was growing, expanding westward past the Inner Loop. The lush areas surrounding the Buffalo Bayou was ripe for development, and several builders bought up land in the area.
Later, some Memorial neighborhoods incorporated into independent cities, particularly the Memorial Villages. Others didn’t, and were annexed by the city of Houston.
