Types of metal cutting blades

HACKSAW BLADES

Hack saw is a hand-saw with a Blade held in a frame, used for Cutting materials such as metal or plastics. Hand held hacksaws consist of a metal arch with a handle, with pins for attaching a narrow disposable blade. A screw or other mechanism is used to put the thin blade under tension.

The blade can be mounted with the teeth facing toward or away from the handle, resulting in cutting action on either the push or pull stroke. On the push stroke, the arch will flex slightly, decreasing the tension on the blade, often resulting in an increased tendency of the blade to buckle and crack. Cutting on the pull stroke increases the blade tension and will result in greater control of the cut and longer blade life.

Hacksaw blade specifications:

The most common band saw blade is of 12 inch or 300 mm length. Hacksaw Blades have two holes near the ends for mounting them in the saw frame and the 12 inch / 300 mm dimension refers to the center to center distance between these mounting holes.

ALL HARD HIGH SPEED STEEL(HSS)

Power hacksaw blades, made of high speed Steel, satisfy the highest requirements for power sawing bars, tubes, sections, etc. High Speed blades are specially hardened and precision set. Blades suitable for Kasto Machine can also be produced.

These blades are ideal to use when the work is held securely and the blade is not subjected to bending and twisting stresses. They hold the edge when cutting hard-to-machine alloys, maintaining straightness of the cut. The blades are uniformly hardened throughout.

BIMETAL FLEXIBLE HIGH SPEED STEEL(HSS)

Combining two materials, tooth line with high alloy high speed steel and body of tough tool steel the blade results in maximum wearing strength and cutting capability, making it far superior to ordinary high-speed steel blades.

Blades suitable for Kasto Machines can also be produced.  These blades have hardened, high speed steel teeth with a tough, shock-absorbing back. They are shatter-resistant and excellent for interrupted cuts and sawing in cramped places where the blade is subject to bending and twisting stresses.

VARI TOOTH HACKSAW BLADES

Vari Tooth Hacksaw Blade are mainly used for Pipe, tubing, solids, wood, plastic or any machinable metal. It is Vacuum heat treating creates harder edge for faster, easier cutting and is has High speed steel cutting edge with 8% cobalt for longer blade life. VARI Tooth hacksaw blades have increased heat and wear resistance for longer life.

JIGSAW & RECIPROCATING SAW BLADES

The Jigsaw & Reciprocating Saw Blades blades are used for straight cutting profile cutting of materials ranging from wood, plastic to metals. We manufacture blades suitable for the machines of various brands.

Bi-metal blades have a high speed steel cutting edge welded to a tough, flexible back. This combination provides long life and makes them virtually unbreakable. These blades are used in hand-held power tools and are often subjected to twisting and bending. We also offer a line of carbon steel jigsaw blades, mainly for wood cutting, that use a good value for the occasional user.

BIMETAL BANDSAW BLADES

Bimetal Bandsaw Blades are combination of two materials, tooth line with high alloy high speed steel and body of tough tool steel. The blade results in maximum wearing strength and cutting capability, making it far superior to ordinary high-speed steel blades.

A bandsaw is a power tool which uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge to cut various work pieces. The band usually rides on two wheels rotating in the same plane, although some band saws may have three or four wheels. Bandsawing produces uniform cutting action as a result of an evenly distributed tooth load.

Bandsaws are used for woodworking, metalworking, or for cutting a variety of other materials, and are particularly useful for cutting irregular or curved shapes, but can also be used to produce straight cuts. The minimum radius of a curve that can be cut on a particular saw is determined by the width of the band and its kerf.

These blades are used for cutting Quenched and tempered steel, Case hardened steel, High alloy steel, Hot work steel, Nitriding steel, Stainless steel, High speed steel, Cast iron steel, Rust and heat resistant steel. It can be used for Hardened material upto 45 HRC.
