“It’s the thought that counts,” is a common Holiday phrase we hear almost on repeat during this festive season. While we all have big budget items on our holiday wish list, a little personal attention from a boss or co-worker can have a profound impact. While the holidays can be a source of stress for many, there is no reason why you can’t seek a month of corporate bliss by striking a balance between projects and parties.
December is a month where many distractions are battling for our attention. Families are calling and emailing with regards to setting up holiday visits. Our inbox is filled with offers and rebates for the most competitive shopping deals. It can be a difficult time for anyone to focus on company projects. One way to combat the holiday hustle and bustle is too give your coworkers more personal attention. Spend an afternoon and schedule time to drop by a few cubicles. Keep it brief and focus on THEIR holiday plans. When you need details for a final project examined, your team will remember your drop-in and hopefully go that extra mile before signing off for the year.
