Five EvoHeat heat pumps have been installed at the UQ Sport Aquatic Centre as part of a major redevelopment project at venue. The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre – situated at The University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus – opened a new 25m pool in June, with EvoHeat CS200-GEN2 and CS38 heat pumps installed to heat the pool to a year-round temperature of 29°C. The 25m pool features nine lanes for lap swimming, squad sessions and learn-to-swim classes, and is ramp and wheelchair-accessible. “The UQ swimming community is one of Brisbane’s largest and most vibrant, and we’re delighted to offer our patrons an additional heated pool, which greatly increases capacity at the Aquatic Centre,” UQ Sport Aquatic Centre Venue Manager, Mr. Jae Marr said. The venue’s 50m pool has also been overhauled with EvoHeat technology, with three CS200-GEN2 heat pumps installed to replace existing heating units. The CS200-GEN2 heat pumps – the same fitted to heat WhiteWater World’s waterpark – will maintain a temperate of 27°C in the 50m Pool. Known for their energy efficiency, reliable year-round pool heating technology, EvoHeat has secured some of Australia’s largest pool heating projects. “Our technology is incredibly economical and has helped pave the way for sustainable heat pump technology in Australia, slashing running costs and cutting carbon emissions for thousands of homes and commercial businesses,” EvoHeat General Manager, Mr Travis McNeill said. “With gas and energy prices on the rise, our exclusive heat pump technology offers businesses a smart and reliable heating solution,” says McNeill.
