Yukon’s Provincial Nominee Program

Yukon is one of the picturesque provinces of Canada. After the “Klondike Gold Rush” in 1896, it became the home for approximately 30,000 people living in the capital of Whitehorse. The economy of this province largely depends on tourism and mining. This territory is considered to be the most sought after place for individuals who value strong communities and great outdoors

The Yukon province has recently introduced Yukon’s Provincial Nominee Program. In this program, candidates who fulfill the criteria of required skills and qualifications laid down by the territory would receive the “Yukon Provincial Nomination Certificate”. This certificate will permit the individual to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Various programs and categories come under Yukon’s Provincial Nominee program listed below :

Yukon Express Entry (YEE): This express entry scheme introduces “enhanced” allocations that may be combined with the federal express entry immigration selection system. Employers who are unable to find the individuals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents for the skilled worker’s job openings can now have access to IRCC – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship’s Express Entry pool of candidates. The applicants are drawn from the pool as per the nominations for permanent or full-time work from Yukon employers.

Skilled workers: In this category, Yukon employers can sponsor an eligible foreign skilled employee for Canadian permanent residence. The sponsor’s applicants would be working in NOC skill level of (0, An or B) occupation.

Critical Impact worker: This program is designed for semi skilled and unskilled workers who are in high demand in this province. These workers after receiving a job offer would simultaneously get sponsored by the Yukon employers.

Business Nominee: This program is designed for entrepreneurs who have a proven business record and are on the verge of starting a new business or opting to partner with the already existing business or purchase and operate an existing business at Yukon. Applicants under this category should be able to contribute to the Yukon’s economy by investing in the Yukon business.
