An initiative taken by the Canadian government as a part of their action plan for Global Skills Program is Global talent stream. The freshly adopted stream will reduce the processing time taken for the work permit grant to merely two weeks which would help in bringing the skilled immigrant sooner to Canada.
The Global Talent Stream will facilitate the access to foreign skilled labors to enhance the economic development and technological advancement for the country. The two week period will also give the immigrant a chance to accompany his/her spouse family members and any other dependent category. The Global talent stream is functional for expertise and talented lot of people who can maneuver their skills application according to the in demand requirements in the market
There are two categories in which the Global talent stream can be chosen; the first type is the firms which have referred any individual suitable for the role of any growth driven project offering a great opportunity. The second category is to hire a talented person specialized in ten work areas present in the national occupation code- NOC.
The firms recruiting the candidates under the GTS should work with ESDC-Employment and Social development Canada to promote the Labor market benefit plan.
