Atlanta’s real Estate Hot Spots 2017 The residents of Cobb County have become increasingly worried about the prospect of higher property taxes. One of the main reasons for this may be the new SunTrust Park as more and more people become interested in owning a house in this area of town. RE/MAX Georgia has indicated that Metro Atlanta’s real estate market continues to expand and grow rapidly as the home sales and price gains have failed to slow down and continue to show no signs of abating. RE/MAX has recently surveyed its brokers and analyzed a combination of data which has been provided by the local Metro Atlanta First Multiple Listing Service to determine which cities are in most demand. In this study, they found the following cities to be the biggest hot spots for 2017: Smyrna- Smyrna is located 10 miles northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County. It is an excellent option for young buyers with its diverse neighborhoods, numerous amenities, and close proximity to the city. The figures also show that purchasing a home in Smyrna is a great investment as in 2015 the median home value was $292,000 while in 2017 it had risen to $320,375. Chamblee- Located just 14 miles from downtown Atlanta, Chamblee describes itself as a “vibrant urban city with a diverse community and international flair.” The homes here are expected to move quickly as more and more homebuyers become interested in this area. Meanwhile, in 2016, the price rose to $307,725 as more and more people seek to find a home in Cumming. Families continue to flock to Cumming every year in hopes of finding the home of their dreams and the school district is one of the very best in Atlanta. Alpharetta- Alpharetta has always been a favorite for potential homebuyers. It was even ranked number 1 on Movoto’s “10 Best Atlanta Suburbs,” and it features excellent schools, shopping centers, recreation opportunities and new developments that are sure to continue to help Alpharetta grow.
