Breaking Down Euphoria Actress Sydney Sweeney’s Journey To Stardom And Current Net Worth

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney was born on September 12, 1997, in Spokane, Washington, and has wanted to be an actress for as long as she can remember.

At the age of twelve, Sydney even presented her parents with a five-year business plan outlining her goals in the industry.

She was able to convince her family to move to Los Angeles shortly after to begin pursuing her dreams.

And that same year, Sydney landed her first role ever in the NBC drama series “Heroes.” She starred as a “little girl” extra in the episode entitled Hysterical Blindness.

Following this first on-screen appearance, Sydney continued to work on her craft and finally had a breakthrough in 2018 after starring in the Netflix series Everything Sucks!

Her portrayal of the character Emaline Addario gained her much praise and helped Sydney land her first recurring HBO role in the miniseries Sharp Objects.

In this role, she got to explore more profound and emotional subject matter, including mental illness and self-harm.

Then, in 2019, Sydney was cast as Eden Spencer in the widely-beloved series The Handmaid’s Tale.

And, just one year later, she was cast as Cassie Howard in Euphoria– the role that made ‘Sydney Sweeney’ a true household name.

In Euphoria, Cassie Howard might appear as a typical blonde and popular high schooler. But, her past is marred by family struggles such as drug addiction and abandonment.

Fans of the show have loved watching Sydney Sweeney bring the complex themes of depression, anxiety, and social paranoia to life in a meaningful way.

Starring alongside the likes of Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demi, Maude Apatow, and Angus Cloud, Euphoria and Sydney Sweeney herself has gained tens of millions of fans across the world.

But while viewers may believe that the star is now raking in cash from the series’ royalties and other more recent paid partnerships, Sydney actually recently revealed that her income is not what everyone thinks.

In turn, her net worth– while still significant– is not quite as sizable as her co-star Zendaya. As of this year, Sydney Sweeney is estimated to be worth $4 million, according to a Bio Overview report on the actress.

Her annual salary is also estimated to be about four hundred thousand dollars– a lot of which is paid to her legal team, agents, and managers, Sydney revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Still, the twenty-four-year-old star just recently purchased her first home– a $3 million Tudor traditional-style home equipped with five bedrooms and four bathrooms in Los Angeles.
