January Events in the Lowcountry

January isn’t only a time to start achieving New Years Resolutions, there is still fun to be had especially when living in a warm climate like Charleston. Follow this guide to enjoy some of our favorite January events in the Lowcountry.

Charleston Restaurant Week | January 13th-23rd. The first of Charleston’s Restaurant Weeks will be held between January 13th-23rd, offering special fixed-price menus at many of the city’s favorite restaurants. Learn which restaurants will be participating and how much it will cost, here.

The Great American Songbook | January 20th. Music written during what we now call the Great American Songbook originally began around one hundred years ago and continued to be at the forefront of popular culture through the 1950s. Pirates & Mermaids! | January 22nd. Head over to one of Charleston’s most loved plantations for a family-friendly event with plenty of children’s activities. Pirates & Mermaids at Magnolia Plantation will include entertainment, face painting, jump castles, food trucks as well as meet and greets with your favorite pirates and mermaids. Learn more, here.

Charleston Boat Show | January 28-30 2022. The annual Charleston Boat show is now in its 42nd year and has evolved into an event that kicks off the Lowcountry’s boating season. Each January, this event includes everything from powerboats to small ion boats, yachts, pontoon boats and more. Charleston Kennel Club Dog Show, January 29-30 2022. If you’re looking for some entertainment for the whole family, head out to the annual all-breed dog show to cheer on furry friends showing off their tricks. Learn more about the show, here.
