Interesting times with two new acts coming onto the statute book.  The Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act and the Tenant Fees Bill.

Both could prove very significant – with many people believing that the Tenant Fees Bill, when it comes into force on 1 June, will signal the collapse of many letting agents unable to survive without their tenant fees income.

For Landlord Law members, Giles Peaker (who was on the team that helped Karen Buck MP, with her  Fitness for Habitation Act) will be taking our next training  webinar on 6 February, explaining what the Act means for landlords, and David Cox (the CEO of ARLA Propertymark) will be taking the March webinar on 7th March taking us through the Tenant Fees Bill (or Act as it may be by then).
