KARACHI: The Central Development Works Party (CDWP) has approved Rs26 billion to construct a 146km Road from Hoshab to Awaran, on the M-8 Motorway.

The resumption of construction work to complete the M-8 Motorway is a top priority, said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Chairman Lt. General (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa while briefing on the matter.

The Hoshab to Awaran road will improve the road network, and enhance connectivity to the remote areas of the province.  

Furthermore, the construction of the $230 million Gwadar International Airport is also underway, that is bound to develop the area, he added.

“CPEC is an excellent project in terms of socio-economic development of Pakistan,” said Prime Minister Imran Khan as he reviewed the progress of projects under CPEC.
