Job Requirements:
Perfect for professionals with previous hotel sales experience or previous meeting planner experience.
Important to know:
- Full-time commitment during standard business hours
- 1099 Independent Contractor position
- Home-based office
- You are paid commission on group rooms revenue used by your clients
- No base pay
Primary responsibilities:
- Prospecting for clients through cold-calling, networking, community involvement, and other proven sales strategies
- Collaborating with your clients to understand their needs
- Sending the request for proposals (RFPs) on behalf of your clients
- Tracking down answers
- Following up with hotels
- Managing the entire site selection process on your clients' behalf
- Facilitating the contracting process
- Post-event follow-up with your clients and contracted hotels
Whether your client is booking a large-scale association event or a smaller corporate function, you work to match your clients' meetings with the best venues at the best value based on your clients' specific needs.

What you need to start your business as a Manager, Global Accounts:
- Ability to work a period of time before earning income as this is a 100% commission-based position
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit to grow and sustain a business as your own CEO
- Be a highly-driven, passionate and ethical professional who sets their clients' success a top priority
- A strong track record of successful new client development and the ability to generate sales leads
- Excellent communication skills; in-person, telephone, and written
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office and/or a client relationship management program (CRM)
- Reliable transportation to attend occasional meetings and events
- Reliable computer
- Wi-Fi / Internet access
- VoIP or dedicated phone/mobile number for your HelmsBriscoe business
