Job Description Job #: Primary Duties: Under limited direction and supervision, Benefits Specialist analyzes and develops policies and plans covering health/dental/vision, life insurance, AD&D, disability/income protection and PTO. Analyzes and recommends changes to current benefit structure based on market data trends and compliance/legislative requirements. Key Deliverables: Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal program delivery. Establish and maintain effective relationship with benefit plan carriers to ensure optimal delivery 50% Strategic support in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of benefits programs 30% Project Management open enrollment, vendor transitions, plan design changes (including internal (SAP) coordination as well as coordination with external partners) 10% Performs other related duties as required or requested. 10% Education/Experience: 5-7+ years of work experience. Prior history/knowledge of benefits administration required. Ability to understand and apply compliance aspects is valued. Higher level education/certifications (CEBS, MBA, etc.) a plus. Specialized Skills: ACA/IRS/ERISA knowledge and application is required. Understanding of self-insured healthcare plans and prior experience working/administering is preferred.
