  3. Then fill in the registration form, create a password and enter the captcha to complete the registration process.
  4. At this stage, you may receive an email to verify your account. So, check that and activate your account.
  5. Now, login and fill up the Form B Application or the Marriage Memorandum. This memorandum is divided into 3 parts: the information of the applicants, the information of the witnesses, and the checklist. 

So, enter all the details carefully and upload the requested documents before submitting.

  1. You’ll get the filled up PDF form in your email after it successfully gets submitted successfully. Print it out for later.
  2. You may hand this printed form over to the concerned authorities on your prefixed date.

Documents for a marriage certificate in Telangana

To apply for a valid marriage registration certificate in Telangana, you will have to prepare the following documents: 

  • Original invitation of marriage.
  • Fully filled up “Application Form A” that is attested by the bride and the groom both.
  • Any of the following valid proof of identification of the bride and groom both:
    1. Certificate of birth
    2. Aadhar card
    3. Electoral roll 
    4. Pan Card
    5. Valid SSC certificate 
  • Any of the following valid proof of residence of the bride and groom both
    1. Ration card
    2. Aadhar card
    3. Passport
    4. Driving licence
    5. Utility bill (telephone, house, or electricity)
  • Affidavit mentioning the nationality, marital status, place, time and date of marriage, and of the couple.
  • An affirmation letter from the bride and groom both stating their intention to marry each other without any influence or threat.
  • Payment receipt of marriage registration.
  • A certified document by the authoritative body, if the marriage happened at a religious site.
  • Recent photos of both the groom and the bride in passport-size.
  • A couple’s photograph wearing their wedding outfits partaking in rituals.
  • A family photo featuring the couple clicked during the wedding with their respective families.
  • Photocopy of self-attested decree of divorce attached to the form (if divorced)
  • Photocopy of death certificate attached to the form of the previously deceased wife/husband of the groom/bride (if applicable)

If either of the groom or the bride is from a foreign country, they will have to show the following documents to the concerned Telangana authorities:

  • Valid passports of both.
  • Proof of residence of both the groom and the bride.
  • Proof of residence of two foreign and two local witnesses, minimum.
  • Valid certification proofs of both the groom and the bride issued by a justified employer.

Note: All these above-mentioned documents must be attested by a legitimate notary officer or a rightful gazetted officer before you show them to the concerned Telangana authority.
