Job Description:
- Operate industrial sewing machines (serger, single needle)
- Create (assemble) garments following samples and technical package
- Ensure quality construction with minimal errors and make repairs when necessary
- Meet daily and weekly productivity goals (according to need and demand)
- Observe machine operation to identify and correct faulty stitches, or notify supervisor for needed changes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment – perform equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles, cleaning sewing machines, oiling, troubleshooting
Job Requirement:
- 3+ years of sewing, seamstress, product creation experience
- Operation of industrial (commercial) sewing machines; preferably Serger and Coverstitch
- Knowledgeable in sewing methods and completing jobs to quality specifications
- Handling Knit Materials / Finishing Hems / Attaching Elastic and related accouterments
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize with good hand-eye coordination
- Read and interpret written information – read and write in English or French
- Consistently be at work and on time for each scheduled shift
- Sit and /or stand for an 8-hour shift
- While performing the duties of this role you must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch as well as frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
- Handle basic computer skills – PC or MAC – familiarity with work related online apps (android) and Excel.
We Offer:
- Position: Full-time
- Salary: $13-14/hour
- Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm (overtime)
