Currently, an MBA student with signed Offer from Amazon. Was contacted by FB recruiter, presumably for a job in NYC, a city which I would greatly prefer over Seattle.
Should I
a) be upfront with the recruiter about my current offer and hope to reconnect in the future
Or
b) act like I don’t have an offer and go through with interview process
Also would like to know how harshly Amazon penalizes for reneging- do they even have a tracking system and how would they link my future applications?
Obviously (a) is the ethical thing to do, but say I go through the interview prices, get the offer, and turn it down. Would I be less on the recruiters radar than if I were to tell them “hey sorry, can’t work for you right now.”
