5 Tips for Storing Your Office Equipment in Self-Storage

1. Rent a Sealed or Weather Proof Storage Container

Pests and vermin may view your cardboard boxes as great building materials. Vermin are resourceful and may chew through your boxes to get to the paper. In colder months, your valuable documents make great nesting materials. Also, using plastic bins gives you extra protection from potential water damage.

4. Wrap All Furniture in Plastic

Before storing away any furniture make sure to cover it in plastic. The plastic will offer more protection from possible climate conditions, pests, and dust that builds up in a storage unit. This is important if there is fabric on the furniture, for example, office chairs. It’s also important to cover any furniture with wood in plastic to prevent termite damage.
