EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol Agents stopped several Alien Smuggling Attempts throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Early Saturday morning, agents responded to the report of a vehicle near Sullivan City, Texas, that picked up several illegal aliens. As agents arrived, the driver of the vehicle abandoned the vehicle and fled the area. Agents searched the area and arrested six illegal aliens.

Later that morning, agents assigned to the McAllen Station responded to a report of a white sedan picking up illegal aliens near Los Ebanos, Texas.  Upon arrival to the area, agents encountered an abandoned vehicle south of Sullivan City, stuck on the train tracks.  A search of the area resulted in the arrest of five subjects who fled from the vehicle.  After interviewing the group, agents identified the driver and passenger as United States Citizen juveniles and determined the other three subjects to be illegally present in the United States.
