PHARR – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Isd Superintendent of Schools Dr. Daniel King, was recently featured as part of the George W. Bush Presidential Center “The ‘A’ Word Interview Series on Accountability.”

The interview published by the Center on Nov. 14 shares Dr. King’s leadership perspective on accountability, its impact, and the responsibility it carries.

He was one of 11 educational leaders from throughout the country featured to share the voices of those who have embraced accountability, as a way to change outcomes for the students and families they serve.

According to the Center, these leaders seek and use data to measure progress and to determine which interventions are likely to increase student success. They operate transparently by drawing public attention to the challenges schools face and the achievements they reach.

“Accountability has impact in all areas, from the way we work with curriculum, to how we schedule, to how we develop staff,” Dr. King said.
