This design relates to safety Elevator systems for preventing starting of the elevator while the landing door opposite the lift is open or open ‘beyond a predetermined locked position.
Elevators are built with several redundant safety systems that keep them in position.Each elevator rope is made from several lengths of steel material wound around one another.

The main object is to provide a mechanism which is very simple and inexpensive, readily applied, conveniently arranged, and well adapted by virtue of its construction for successful operation under the conditions of use. It got Patent Protection with the Patent Number US1293737A on 11th February 1919.
