The Funding will be reportedly used for enhancing its technology capabilities and increasing its supply pool to meet the increasing demand of workers across India.

In October last year, Bookmybai had raised an undisclosed amount of funds in Pre-Series A round from Japan-based social venture fund ARUN Seed along with other Japanese angel investors.

Founded by Anupam Sinhal and Vickash Chowdhury in 2015, Bookmybai is an online platform that enables homeowners to hire domestic help. The platform offers domestic helpers across various categories including maid, babysitter, nanny, senior citizen care and cook. It currently operates out of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

Last year in December, Villgro had announced a seed funding of over Rs 3.5 crore to help social enterprises. Its national discovery programme iPitch had shortlisted nearly 12 enterprises out of around 1,200 applicants through which it aimed to unearth the most innovative and impactful for-profit social enterprises across India.

Bookmybai was one among the shortlisted, raising Rs 64 lakh from Gray Matters Capital, the impact investment foundation that is based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Anuja Master Bose, Practice Lead of Villgro Education and Employability, said,

Bookmybai has tremendous potential to create meaningful impact in a traditionally challenging sector.

The startup also plans to leverage Villgro's unique model of incubation combining high touch mentorship and access to networks to unlock large scale social impact projects, said the media reports.
